Vinot Artisan is passionate about boutique wine creation, with a focus on high quality wine making – hand picking and pressing grapes, and making wine in small batches. Each stage of the wine making process is nurtured to bring out the best of the wine style.

Viticulturalist and winemaker, Beige Pureau is the owner of Vinot Artisan – living in the Yarra Valley and dedicated to local winemaking.

Beige grew up in the Martinborough wine region in New Zealand, where her passion for winemaking was ignited in later years as she moved to the Yarra Valley, Victoria, Australia.

After first learning about winemaking in 2010, Beige established a small vineyard in 2012 and studied viticulture and winemaking at Goulburn Ovens Institute in Wangaratta from 2016-2018. In 2016 Beige made her first French Oak barrel of Shiraz and has been making wine for nine years – now based in Silvan, Yarra Valley.

Beige is passionate about sustainable viticulture – with the focus being about the soil, and nurturing the earth for quality on the vines. Wine is currently produced using grapes grown in different vineyards in the Yarra Valley and Heathcote regions. Beige has a small acreage with vineyard in Silvan, Yarra Valley.

Beige has come from a career in communications, including professional writing and photography which has seen her write a number of wine blogs. She has travelled different parts of world to see traditional wine being made in various locations, including: Tuscany in Italy; Burgundy, Bordeaux, Saint Emilion and Beaujolais wine regions in France; plus regions in Spain; New Zealand; and across Australia.
